I am extremely
proud of our Te Mahia School Room 1 children who helped the adults prepare the hāngi for our Te Mahia School Gala and tidy our school grounds. The children were eager to get in and awhi the adults. The children were peeling potatoes and kumara, and breaking up bread for the stuffing. Ka mau te wehi tātou katoa! There was a lot of positive feedback from the community saying the hāngi was delicious! So well done children you play an important role in the hāngi. Mahia's next generation of cooks..
